What are the biggest causes of sewer backups and problems?
*Flushable wipes. No wipes of any kind should ever be flushed. Please keep a trashcan by your toilets and throw away anything that is not toilet paper.
*Fats, oils and grease. These should never be washed down your sink. Oil and grease should be placed in your trashcan for disposal.
What causes sewer odors in your house?
*In most cases it is caused by a dry drain trap. Please make sure that water is run down your drains for several minutes each week. If a drain is not used and the trap goes dry the seal that keeps out sewer gas is broken. Running water for 2 to 3 minutes can usually take care of the problem.
